We have JOBS!!! My new boss called me yesterday to tell me that I've got the job at Lalo Treasures and I start next week. I was asking him about hours and schedules and stuff & I learned that the dress is very casual. Like "people expect to see thongs (sandals) in Byron Bay, so don't go out buying anything fancy". hahah, I love it!! I'm going to be working every Saturday for sure and probably 3 days during the week other than that. Fantastic! Not too much, not too little. Also, they open sometime between 10-11. Everything's so 'cruisey'.
Lindsay's been working the last couple of days at her job, Citrus Deli. She says it's intense and she keeps cutting herself, but she hopes that it will teach her a few things about a kitchen. They basically assume she knows what she's doing and keep asking her to do things like 'flower these green onions'. Ya, ok, whatever that means! What a trooper!
While Lindsay's been working I've been working hard... on my tan. The beach is fantastic & the water's getting warm enough to swim in too. The walk from home to town/beach isn't so bad either, but I'm considering getting a cheap bike from the 2nd hand store (I can sell it back to them after).
It's Saturday night! We're planning on going out. Get ready Byron Bay!
