Lindsay and I are chillin here in Airlie Beach with Matt, waiting for our Whitsundays sailing trip on Tuesday. We've been making SO many plans for the next month. I talked to Monique today and we're going to be spending Christmas with her and Mark in New Castle, so we've booked a flight from Cairns to Sydney in a couple of weeks. Once the holidays are over we're going to have to work asap.. we might travel to Perth or anywhere in the southern part of Australia because the north is going to get SO hot. Actually, it already is HOT HOT HOT!!! We're excited to be spending Christmas with people we know and care about rather than in a hostel by ourselves. It was incredible for them to be so welcoming to us!! We're going to be in Sydney on new years, Apparently the best place in the world at midnight.
The hostel that we're staying in here is pretty nice. We have a 10 share room, but the strangest part is that there are no pillows or sheets. Everyone just falls asleep on their cots. I used my towel as a blanket last night, but it just doesn't do the trick. It's weird seeing everyone just sleeping with no sheets. There's going to be a foam party in the bar here tonight. THAT should be interesting!
